West Hartford News and Events

As you are all probably aware, Dr. List's budget cuts were primarily in World Language (WL). Of the 1.0M + cuts, over $800,000 is in WL. In a town where 21st century learning expectations are part of our mission, it is a serious matter that these massive cuts are coming from world languages. On the 16th is Board of Ed meeting. These are the times when students, parents and teachers will be able to voice their feelings about this cut.

People who choose to speak will have a maximum of 3 minutes to speak. It is on a first come, first-served basis and you must sign up beforehand to speak. The sign-up list for speakers is set out in the meeting room hours before the actual meeting. It is advisable for people go to Town Hall early and sign up, go home to eat dinner and come back for the 7:00 meeting.

If you do not want to speak but would like to write a letter to Dr List expressing your concerns. You can also send a letter if you speak at the meeting. => SAMPLE LETTER
